Professional Training: Every Pillar To Post home inspector is trained in the classroom and in the field. You can have confidence in the fact that all Pillar To Post inspectors are required to continually upgrade their skills and to keep current with new technologies and professional standards.

Matt Lloyd

After a law enforcement career that spanned over two decades and rebuilding every house we ever bought as joint renovation projects. My wife Lisa and I decided to apply our investigative and marketing skill sets to a business of our own. As Virginia licensed and ASHI certified home inspectors continuing education is the name of the game.  Mold certification, Radon Measurement Specialists, Virginia New Residential Structure (NRS) certified, sewer scope certified. The technologies of home construction are not stagnant. They are always evolving, updating, new products, new practices. Your home inspector needs to stay current but have a good grasp of the past, an appreciation of new technologies, how they can be utilized to good effect AND their limitations.  Our goal is to provide the best trained, and most thorough inspectors in the industry.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York I leveraged my experience as a VP of Marketing with one of the largest financial institutions in the US to a joint venture with my better half of 20 years. I am the Radon Measurement Specialist, responsible for coordinating our Radon testing protocols, as well as, all scheduling, training, and team marketing campaigns. I value the customer and agent relationships we’ve built over the years and continue to strive to make the Lloyd Team & Pillar to Post national brand a local “tour de force” as the best home inspectors in Northern Virginia.

Doug Beard

After working as a background investigator for one of the beltway bandits, I decided that I needed to get out of my cube, interact face-to-face with people, and work with both my hands and my mind. I retained my investigative mindset and have rigorously retrained to apply those skills to the home inspection industry, having spent hundreds of hours in the classroom, online, and in the field. I am Virginia licensed, ASHI certified, and Radon Measurement Specialist Certified. I have learned my trade from the best team in Northern Virginia. I work continuously to keep my knowledge of past building practices fresh while also staying current with ever-changing residential construction standards and what they mean for you, the prospective homeowner.
